Care Leavers
At St Helens Borough Council we have made a pledge to our care leavers which was co-designed with our Care Leavers Pledges - Our Promise To You, included in the pledge are the below statements:
- help you lead a happy, healthy, adult life
- promote high aspirations for you and help you develop your skills and confidence
- help support you with any challenges you face
In order to help us to keep this pledge, we have promised to:
- help you find opportunities for education, training and employment
- help you to be involved within the local community
- celebrate your success and achievements
As an employer, St Helens Borough Council supports and encourages applications from St Helens care leavers. If you are a care leaver within St Helens borough, who is currently receiving a service in accordance with current legislation, and you meet the essential criteria linked to the job role in the person specification we are pleased to confirm that you will be guaranteed an interview.
It is your choice if you choose to disclose that you are a care leaver when applying for roles with us.
