Tackling winter together with community warmth and welfare drop-ins

St Helens Borough Council is taking proactive steps to support residents during the colder months with its Affordable Warmth & Welfare Drop-in Sessions.

The sessions are running every Monday until 16 December at the North Community Hub at Moss Bank Library from 10am to 2pm, aligning with the library's Winter Warmer Coffee Mornings, offering a warm, welcoming environment for the community.

To further extend support, an initial round of additional dates in community hubs across the borough have been scheduled, with more to follow soon at other locations.

  • St Helens Library - Monday 25 November, 10am-2pm
  • Chain Lane Community Centre - Wednesday 27 November, 1:30pm-4pm
  • Chester Lane Library - Thursday 28 November, 12pm-4pm
  • Newton Library - Tuesday 3 December, 11am-3pm
  • Eccleston Library - Thursday 5 December, 11am-3pm

Residents can receive advice and support on matters related to affordable warmth, including benefit maximisation. Partner organisations, including, Energy Projects Plus, the Carers Centre and DWP will join these events to provide additional advice and resources.
