Nighttime Economy Forum
The Night Time Economy Forum focuses on providing a vibrant and varied evening entertainment and hospitality offer in St Helens town centre.
Partners from across St Helens town centre, including St Helens Borough Council, Merseyside Police, community partners and business representatives came together for the first meeting of the forum.
The forum's creation follows the successful accreditation of Purple Flag status from the Association of Town and City Management. This recognition demonstrates partners commitment to providing a safe and inclusive night life environment for its visitors.
The forum brings together representatives from a range of night time economy businesses, from pubs and clubs to restaurants, theatre and other entertainment venues like bingo halls, as well as licensed taxi companies.
As well as utilising a number of tools to keep St Helens safe, such as CCTV, Street Lighting, Pubwatch and StreetLink - the Economy Forum supports a number of local campaigns:
- Safe Nights, Great Places
- Know Your Ride
- Ask for Angela
- Safer Streets
