Menus

We provide seasonal menus in our primary schools across a rolling three-week menu cycle. We offer up to four child friendly and nutritious menu choices, available daily, to ensure there is something delicious for everyone to enjoy. If that wasn't enough, we also offer salad stations everyday with yoghurts and breads, plus items such as pasta, fresh fruit and vegetables across each week, to ensure meal times are always exciting. 

We go that extra mile to ensure we provide food of a high quality and our primary school menu is in receipt of the Food for Life Bronze Award. This accreditation helps us to demonstrate a commitment to climate, nature, and health, whilst also educating pupils on the importance of food quality and sustainability. It also ensures we meet the School Food Standards. 

In achieving our accreditation we: 

• all meat is UK sourced meeting animal welfare standards 
• free range eggs are used, 
• fish must be sustainably sourced,  
• at least 75% of the menu is freshly prepared on site using fresh ingredients, 
• no GM products or additives or artificial trans fats are used across any menu, 
• Vegetarian and plant based options are available, 
• Drinking water is accessible at all times, 
• our service engages in supporting school communities with food education and sustainability and, 
• All suppliers meet necessary food safety standards.

Utilising the latest technology, the majority of our primary schools are using SchoolGrid, a digital kitchen management system, that gives parents quick and easy ways of placing their child's school meal pre-orders anywhere, as well as giving them the ability to see nutritional information at their fingertips when required. It also gives an extra layer of protection for children with food allergies as they can only order food suitable for them.
