Time's running out to apply to vote by proxy

If you are registered to vote another person can vote on your behalf at your polling station if:

• You are away on holiday
• You have a disability or a medical reason
• Your employment means that you cannot go to the polling station on election day
• Your attendance on an educational course
• You are a crown servant or a member of Her Majesty's Armed Forces

The deadline for applying to vote by proxy is six working days before an election, 5pm on Tuesday 26 April. If you have a medical emergency within six days of an election day on Thursday 5 May, you can apply to vote by emergency proxy.

Anyone can be your proxy as long as they are registered to vote in UK elections and they are willing to vote on your behalf.

A proxy voter cannot do so for more than two people at any one election, unless they are a close relative.

Please return your form to Electoral Services, St Helens Borough Council, First Floor Town Hall, Victoria Square, St Helens, WA10 1HP. You can drop off your form at Town Hall Reception, or email a clear scanned copy to elections@sthelens.gov.uk

Your proxy vote application form must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022 to vote by proxy in the elections scheduled for 5 May 2022.
