New look fireworks show to light up the skies in St Helens this November
After a two-year absence due to the coronavirus pandemic, St Helens' fireworks display will make a return this Bonfire Night with a new look.

St Helens Borough Council has teamed up with Saints to present 'From the Ground Comes Light - Fire and Light Spectacular' at the Totally Wicked Stadium, moving from Sherdley Park for an overall better-quality experience ahead of Saints 150th year.
New to this year's show will be entertainment in the form of local dancers, singers and DJs, before a laser lights show and pyrotechnics display in time with music gets underway.
Spectators will also get the first look at what the Saints men and women will be wearing in next year's special 150th anniversary season when the club's 2023 kits will be launched. There will also be official Saints merchandise available to purchase on the evening, as well as food and drink on offer from the stadium kiosks.
Due to a large area of the stadium being required for the fireworks and other entertainment, capacity will be limited to 5,000 in the South Stand of the Totally Wicked Stadium, meaning this is a ticketed event - with family deals available and free parking on council-run car parks. Limited disabled parking spaces will be available at the stadium.
St Helens Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, Councillor Anthony Burns, said: "We're incredibly proud to have a world-class sporting team here in St Helens in the form of Saints and as a council we are always keen to look at opportunities to work with the Club.
"Moving the fireworks display to the Totally Wicked Stadium - one of the best purpose build rugby league stadiums in the world - makes perfect sense as its already geared up to hold such an event, like we saw with the recent Jacqui Abbott and Paul Heaton concert which was a special moment for the town. It's the perfect way to kick off Saints' 150th celebrations and our year as the City Region Borough of Culture.
"We know times are hard for everyone right now, and that's why we've made this event as affordable as possible and significantly cheaper than other similar scale events around the area - and we're determined to put on a spectacular evening."
Mike Rush, Chief Executive of Saints, said:
"We are delighted to partner with the council to help bring this exciting event to the Totally Wicked Stadium. We are also looking forward to revealing our 2023 home and away shirts in advance of what will be the Club's 150th year."
'From the Ground Comes Light - Fire and Light Spectacular' will take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Saturday 5 November.
Gates will open at 5:00pm, with live entertainment from 6pm and the lights show and fireworks display getting underway at 7:15pm.
Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children under 11 years, with a family of four deal - two adults and two children - costing £13.
