Parr Care Home

Parr Care Home have five beds contracted by St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group for palliative care patients, that is for care of patients whose disease is not responsive to active treatment.
All staff have had training in palliative care which includes aiding the patient and family in coming to terms with the prospect of death and providing assurance that their end of life decisions will be respected and that relief of symptoms will be our priority. All rooms are spacious and 23 have en-suite facilities.
The home is built over 2 storeys and as situated in a residential area of Parr close to local amenities and is served by an excellent bus route.
It has a hairdressing room and regular visiting hairdresser, a chiropodist visits on a regular basis funded by the N H S and a private chiropodist will visit if required. There is a sweet shop and Tea room for residents use.
All diets can be catered for and a varied menu is offered on a 4 weekly cycle plus a good choice of alternatives to the set menu.
