Creative Underground

Creative Underground is a two-year National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project, coordinated by St Helens Archive Service.

The project has involved working with different partners such as The World of Glass for exhibitions exploring the creative past of the borough, and Re-Dock for a variety of activities exploring the musical heritage of St Helens from 1982-1995. 

Creative Underground also aims to establish a legacy of positive heritage outcomes in the region by re-establishing a heritage network, improving skills and supporting groups and organisations.

With thanks to National Lottery players, community grants have been awarded in 2023 and 2024 with outcomes including education packs for school children, story and reminiscence sessions, walking trails and tours, pop up events, poetry sessions and a printed materials.
