What to expect:

  • look in the mouth (dental screening) by one of our Smile Squad team
  • tips and tricks on caring for teeth and gums
  • plenty of freebies available
  • meet our friendly mascots, Croc-o-Smile and Captain Tuck!

Join us for the very first Smile Squad!

  • Tuesday 26th November, 10.30am to 2.30pm, Sutton Family Hub Ellamsbridge Road, St Helens WA9 3PY

Look out for further dates in the new year!

What will the Smile Squad team do?

A Smile Squad team member will look in your child's mouth. This 'look in the mouth' will not replace your child's usual check-up and you will be informed if your child needs further assessment. We may be able to help if you do not have a dentist. Connecting with the Smile Squad team can help to ease children's dental anxiety!

Anything else?

Yes! The Smile Squad team and St Helens Wellbeing Service (CHCP) will help with tips and tricks to help look after your child's teeth and gums. We will provide free samples of toothpaste and toothbrushes and you will have a chance to meet Croc-o-Smile and Captain Tuck!

Why are we doing this?

Healthy teeth are important for your child's well-being and development. Tooth decay and sore teeth are preventable. We understand access to a dentist may be difficult and we would like to help your child access appropriate care.

BSL Interpreters are available on request.
