Rugby League World Cup 2021
St Helens is synonymous with rugby league and we're delighted to have played our part in the Rugby League World Cup 2021.
Taking place between 15 October and 19 November 2022, the men's, women's and wheelchair competitions are being staged in a single, celebratory event tipped to be the biggest and best Rugby League World Cup yet.
During the tournament, St Helens and Liverpool hosted the Tongan and Italian men's national teams - while three men's fixtures were held at Saints' 18,000-capacity Totally Wicked Stadium, recently voted the third-best purpose-built rugby stadium in the world.
Results in St Helens were as follows:
- Tonga 24-18 Papua New Guinea - Tuesday 18 October
- Tonga 32-6 Wales - Monday 24 October
- Australia 66-6 Italy - Saturday 29 October
