This year, we join organisations across the country in recognising #SafeguardingAdultsWeek, a vital opportunity to raise awareness of adult safeguarding and promote best practice across all sectors.
The theme for 2025 is Prevention: Act Before Abuse.
Effective safeguarding means learning from past incidents, responding appropriately to concerns, and - most importantly - taking proactive steps to prevent harm, neglect, and abuse before they occur.
Early intervention can make all the difference. We must foster the confidence to act on instinct, speak up when something feels wrong, and ensure safeguarding is embedded in everyday practice.
As part of the awareness week, the Saints Bridge will be lit green between 18-21 November.
We will also be out and about in the community, come and see us for a chat!
