Results for the Combined Authority Mayoral and Police & Crime Commissioner elections

On Thursday 2 May voters in St Helens Borough and across the region went to the polls for the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) Mayoral and Merseyside Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections.

The ballots were counted today, Saturday 4 May. In the LCRCA Mayoral election, the number of verified votes cast in St Helens Borough was 26,671 and the turnout was 19.15%.

The results below show the overall number of votes across the Liverpool City Region, followed by the overall number of votes from St Helens Borough:

  • Steve Rotheram (Labour) - 183,932 / 17,572
  • Jade Marsden (Conservative) - 27,708 / 3,195
  • Tom Crone (Green) - 26,417 / 2,455
  • Rob McAllister-Bell (Liberal Democrats) - 21,366 / 1,818
  • Ian Smith (Independent) - 11,032 / 1,424

In the PCC election, the number of verified votes cast in St Helens Borough was 26,590 and the turnout was 19.09%.

The results below show the overall number of votes across Merseyside, followed by the overall number of votes from St Helens Borough:

  • Emily Spurrell (Labour and Co-operative Party) 152,640 / 16,158
  • Bob Teesdale (The Conservative Party) 35,221 / 4,603
  • Amanda Onwuemene (Green Party) 31,330 / 3,094
  • Christopher Carubia (Liberal Democrats) 28,093 / 2,327
