Grant for Employers available now!

St Helens Borough Council has a grant offer that aims to stimulate the supply of employment opportunities for residents not in work (economically inactive). This programme is known as an Intermediate Labour Market opportunity (ILM) Ways to Work. 

Are you an SME (less than 250 employees) and willing to:

• employ somebody who is looking for work for 26 weeks in addition to your existing staff complement
• pay at least National Minimum Wage for a minimum of 35 hours per week
• provide a supportive and encouraging workplace environment that meets the needs of the individual.

This grant allows you to claim back salary costs on a monthly basis (in arrears).
