Transport Team

We are a team of up to 30 members of staff including supervisors, community drivers, support assistants and passenger assistants. We have a fleet of nine adapted buses that transport up to seven seated clients and two wheelchairs.

What do we do?

We support residents of St Helens Borough by providing transport to vulnerable adults and young persons - whether it be through age or disability - and statutory transport for students.

The services we support include taking clients to and from schools (Mill Green and Activate), day opportunities (Stephenson's Resource Centre, Grange Valley and The World of Glass), Kershaw and health and community referrals. Health and community referrals include (but are not exhaustive) admissions and/or discharges from hospitals and care homes, outpatient appointments and therapy appointments.

When do we work?

  • Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 9pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 6pm
  • Bank Holidays, 11am - 5pm (no service Christmas Day)
