Work Hub Booking Conditions

  • All attendees should make themselves familiar with the fire safety procedures displayed in the room, including the assembly point and how to evacuate in the event of a fire.
  • The hirer must sign in on arrival at the Work Hub and confirm they have read the terms and conditions.
  • The room must be vacated by 4.50pm to allow library staff to lock up the building.
  • The hirer should inform library staff that all attendees have vacated the room
  • The hirer is responsible for the Health & Safety of the group. 
  • The person making the booking is the person who will be held responsible for the conduct of the attendees and the condition of the meeting room. 
  • The hirer should vacate the meeting room at the time specified.  
  • The room should be left in a clean and tidy state, with rubbish in bins. 
  • All cups and cutlery should be washed and returned to the kitchen.
  • Any damage/defects should be reported to library staff immediately. 
  • No equipment should be taken from the Work Hub, this includes mice, keyboards etc It is a disciplinary offence if staff remove equipment from the room.
  • For IT issues, log an IT request through the IT portal
  • Smoking/vaping in the building or directly outside the entrance/exit is prohibited. 
  • The person limit must not be exceeded. 
  • First aid box is available from the library staff. 
  • Hirers should comply with all regulations regarding the safety of electrical equipment and should ensure all equipment used during the hire whether within the hirers direct control or not, has been inspected and tested as appropriate and shall produce the relevant test certificate to the Council. 
  • All equipment brought into the building is the responsibility of the hirer who should arrange appropriate insurance to cover the condition and use of the equipment. The Council shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property or injury to any person that may occur from the use of the equipment. 
  • Booking forms to be completed on an annual basis for ongoing bookings. 
  • The Council shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property whilst in the room. 
  • The Council accepts no responsibility to clothing or equipment left in the room. 
  • Group members use the car park at their own risk. 
  • The hirer should provide information to library staff on the number of attendees on leaving the library.
