These services/guides provide both practical and emotional support for those bereaved by suicide
Amparo
Amparo provides both emotional and practical support for anyone affected by suicide. Their experienced liaison workers can listen to your needs and assist you in accessing the support you need, whilst helping with a range of practical matters such as:
- liaising with police and coroners
- helping with media inquiries
- preparing for and attending inquest
- helping you to access other appropriate, local support services.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS)
SoBS offers peer-led support for adults bereaved by suicide. They help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. They aim to provide safe, confidential environments where people can share their experiences and feelings, giving and gaining support from each other.
They offer support in the form of:
- local and virtual groups
- phone support
- email support
- an online community forum.

Help is at Hand
The Help is at Hand guide offers compassionate support for anyone bereaved by suicide, explaining that grief is deeply individual and may involve intense emotions. It provides practical advice for seeking peer or professional help. The booklet also signposts resources and services to ensure those affected can access immediate and ongoing support. This guide was mainly written by people bereaved by suicide, to provide more relevant and personal guidance to others.
