Taylor Park Lake
Background
Following the collapse of a section of the dam wall last year, additional areas of the western wall are now showing early signs of failure. As a precaution, the footpath has been closed to protect public safety.
Our structures team is carrying out weekly monitoring, while specialist consultants develop a long-term solution to address the underlying issues. The footpath will remain closed until these assessments are completed and the required repairs are carried out.
The assessment is expected to be completed by summer 2026, at which point the scale and type of stabilisation works will be confirmed. A further update will be provided once this stage is complete.

Previous Work
In Spring 2025 a section of the lake wall collapsed and had to be rebuilt.
