Supported internships

A supported internship could be right for you if you're looking for employment but need some extra help in getting there.

It's a programme offered through St Helens College to young people with an education, health and care plan.

Most of the learning is done via a real-life work placement, with the support of a job coach through the college.

It starts in September and runs for an academic year, giving interns the chance to experience and demonstrate their ability over a long-term work placement.

You'll spend three to four days a week in a work placement, gaining valuable skills and experience, and another day in college to develop your maths, English and employability skills.
