Park homes

All park home sites (permanent residential sites), operated on a commercial basis, must be managed by a 'fit and proper person'. We are implementing new regulations to enable site owners or site managers to make their applications to be included on the register of fit and proper persons. 

What is a fit and proper person? 

We currently have no park homes or mobile home sites in the borough; however, this is kept under continual review. If an operator wishes to establish a new site, they should in the first instance contact the council's Planning team on 01744 676175 for advice. 

If you wish to apply for a park home or mobile home site, please contact our Housing Services team via 01744 676789 to discuss the application process and fees. This information would then be added to a Public Register.
