Transport planning
We develop and implement policies and projects to improve the borough's transport networks.
The Local Transport Plan (LTP) for Merseyside is statutory policy which sets out the strategic objectives, strategies and policies for transport within our borough. The current LTP is the third plan for Merseyside and became active in April 2011.
The plan provides a long-term strategy for how to improve transport in Merseyside up until 2024. A new LTP is currently in development in partnership with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
The Combined Authority Transport Plan is a non-statutory update to this plan, which sets out the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's (LCRCA) vision for transport. The plan provides a single source of information on adopted transport policy, based on current plans and priorities, in light of the Metro Mayor's vision and the combined authority's investment priorities.
Supporting transport policy documents are available via the LCRCA website.
