Free parking will be available on most council-maintained carparks in St Helens town centre from 4:00pm onwards tomorrow (Friday 22 July) to support people getting to and from the Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott concert at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The only chargeable car park will be Tontine Car Park, at a small fee of £1.50 to cover operational costs, payable at the machine with cash or card.  The car park will close promptly at 11:30pm.

Many people travelling to tomorrow's concert from inside and outside the borough will have planned their journey ahead and hoped to catch public transport which has now been impacted by bus strikes.

This is the first music concert on such a grand scale to come to come to the Totally Wicked Stadium - with more than 20,000 people expected to attend - so we want to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible and encourage people to spend time in town to support the many fantastic independent businesses.
