Nominate your community hero to be a flag bearer at the Rugby League World Cup

Nominate your community hero to carry the national flag at two of the Rugby League World Cup matches being held in St Helens this autumn.

We are looking for a local hero or well-known member of the community to lead out each nation in the following men's fixtures the Totally Wicked Stadium, carrying their national flag at the start of the match:

  • Tonga vs Papua New Guinea - Tuesday 18 October, 7:30pm
  • Australia vs Italy - Saturday 29 October, 7:30pm

Your nominee should be able to hold the flagpole and flag for a prolonged period of time and be able to walk out ahead of the competing team in a timely manner.

The nominees who are selected will be contacted directly by St Helens Borough Council's Events Team and will receive a complimentary ticket for themselves and one guest for the selected match.

Please complete our short form by 23 September. Nominations will be judged by St Helens Borough Council and St Helens RFC.
