Renewal of online content management and digital platform

Summary

To make a direct award, to the existing supplier, with effect from 1 July 2024 using CCS's G-Cloud 13 framework.

Purpose

To renew an existing contract, which ceases on 1 July 2024, to supply: - website / intranet content management system (CMS) - customer portal and online forms - case management (CRM) . registrars, complaints, FOI and SAR modules

Background

The existing solution was purchased in May 2020 (DED 0123 2019/20), using CCS's G-Cloud framework. It followed a detailed evaluation of three suppliers. At the time it was determined that the application provided the best all-round, cost-effective solution to meet the council’s requirements. The solution went live on 31 March 2022. During 2023/24 more than 104,000 work requests were generated via it, of which 77% were raised directly by customers. ICT & Digital have undertaken extensive work to integrate the platform with third-party solutions. Work continues to develop the solution and improve the experience for residents and end users.

Conclusion

The proposal seeks to make a direct award to the existing supplier using G-Cloud 13. In view of existing development work undertaken, resources and cost implications, it is considered to be unfeasible and impractical to look at alternative solution at this time.
