Green bin

This is a fortnightly collection

This year's subscription period runs from Monday 6 March 2023 to Friday 8 December 2023. Subscriptions have now closed for this year. Subscriptions for the 2024 garden waste service will be open in the new year. 

 

You can put these items in your green bin:

• Grass cuttings/leaves
• Flowers/plants/weeds
• Privet/hedge clippings
• Small branches and twigs

Please do not put these items in your green bin; it will be contaminated and will not be emptied:

• Cardboard (this goes in your green bag)
• Food waste (this goes in your food caddy)
• Plastic (most plastics go in your white bag, check the link on what goes where)
• Soil (this will have to be disposed of at your local HWRC)
• Hay, straw or pet bedding (this will have to be disposed of at your local HWRC)
