Drop-in health checks coming to you aboard the Living Well Bus
A range of free health checks and wellbeing guidance is just around the corner, as the Living Well Bus comes to St Helens Borough in October.

The service, delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, operates on a fully drop-in basis and provides health checks and wider wellbeing guidance at the heart of communities.
A range of services is available, including:
- Blood pressure check
- Pulse check
- Cholesterol check
- Blood glucose check
- BMI check
- Direct referrals to talking therapies
The bus will also offer the autumn Covid-19 booster for eligible people:
- All adults aged 65 years and over
- People aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group
- Frontline health and social care workers
- People aged 12 to 64 years who are household contacts of people with immunosuppression
- People aged 16 to 64 years who are carers, and staff working in care homes for older adults
All activity is shared with your GP, ensuring ongoing understanding and support for your health is in place.
The bus will also help to direct residents to the local St Helens Wellbeing Service. Find out more about local services at www.sthelenswellbeing.org.uk.
The bus will stop at Earlestown's Tesco (on 6 October, 26 October), and Church Square in St Helens Town Centre (on 9 October, 18 October and 31 October), between 10:30am and 4pm.
Councillor Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, said: "We're pleased to welcome the Living Well Bus back to St Helens Borough, giving residents free and easy access to a range of health and wellbeing services and checks that could improve their health and quality of life. These are small things like blood pressure and cholesterol checks, that could make a significant and positive difference to your health, so please come along!"
