Council submits Section 73 planning application for next stage of Parkside Link Road project
Parkside Link Road is entering the latter stages of construction and now is the time to make some final minor amendments that will ensure it delivers on its promise of enabling new jobs, regeneration and smoother traffic flows.

Accordingly, St Helens Borough Council's Highways Team has submitted a planning application to both St Helens and Warrington Borough Councils, which is designed to further encourage traffic using the new Parkside Link Road to access it via J22 of the M6 motorway, thereby minimising use of local road network, in line with the planning conditions previously imposed. The application will also improve aspects of the tree planting and landscaping, which will help make this one of the greenest employment sites in the region.
Councillor David Baines, Leader of St Helens Borough of Council, said: "Parkside Link Road is key to unlocking the full potential of our ambitious Parkside development, improving access and reducing the potential impact on the local community by taking traffic to the site away from the local road network.
