Organised by St Helens Borough Council's Active Lives and Sports Development service, the festive family-friendly 4k fun run is suitable for all abilities and follows on from previous success events over the years which have seen hundreds of people take part, with this year's forming part of Borough of Culture celebrations.

Councillor Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Culture and Heritage, said:

"Our Active Lives and Sports Development team do a fantastic job of arranging affordable activities that provide the perfect mixture of fun and fitness - with the Santa Dash always a popular choice given the community and festive feel it brings.

"It's one I'm very much looking forward to myself and If you've never done it before - I'd urge you do sign up as it's completely inclusive and a whole lot of festive fun."

Entry to take part in this event is £5 for adults and £2 for children and young people aged 5-18 which includes a Santa hat and medal, with all proceeds going to the Mayor of St Helens Borough's chosen charity, the Deafness Resource Centre in Dentons Green.
