Consultation: Gambling Act 2005 - Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 - 2028

As part of the Gambling Act 2005 the Council is legally bound to produce a 3-year Statement of Licensing Policy (PDF) [362KB]  review.  

The contents of the policy have not been significantly amended and the document is provided in an easily readable format with clear information included in each section.  

The Statement will need to follow a formal approval process following consultation. 

  • Consultation period - 23 July - 30 August 2024  

  • Consultation outcome and proposed final revised Statement presented to Licensing and Environmental Protection Committee - 16 October 2024 

  • Report and final revised Statement to Full Council for adoption - 15 January 2025 

  • Notice in press and on website of publication of revised Statement - January 2025 

  • Revised Statement of Policy to take effect - January 2025
