Hypnotism displays

If you want to hire a hypnotist to put on a show for you at your pub or club (as defined in the Hypnotism Act 1952), you will have to apply for a hypnotism licence.

How to apply

To apply for a hypnotism licence you will need to complete the application form (PDF, 217 KB)(opens new window) and return it to us no less than 28 days before the date of the proposed hypnotism display. You must also provide the following documentation:

• A copy of your public liability insurance

There will also be an administration fee for processing the application.
