Hypnotism displays

If you want to hire a hypnotist to put on a show for you at your pub or club (as defined in the Hypnotism Act 1952), you will have to apply for a hypnotism licence.

How to apply

To apply for a hypnotism licence you will need to complete the application form (PDF) [217KB] (opens new window) and return it to us no less than 28 days before the date of the proposed hypnotism display. You must also provide the following documentation:

• A copy of your public liability insurance

There will also be an administration fee for processing the application.
