Flu Vaccination
Stay well for the moments that matter - choose the flu vaccine.
Flu can be serious, especially for young children, older adults, people with underlying health conditions, and pregnant people. The flu vaccine helps protect you from becoming very unwell — so you can keep enjoying the moments that matter.
"Last pregnancy, I was very unwell with the flu and had to cancel my baby shower.
This time, I'm vaccinated, so I can stay healthy and meet my baby's first smile."
Vaccination is always your decision.
You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:
- are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)
- have certain long-term health conditions
- are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
- live with someone who has a weakened immune system
Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.
