#MyStHelensStory - Children & Young People's Competition
Part of Practice Learning Month & the #LoveStHelens campaign
We want to hear YOUR story of growing up in St Helens! If you're aged 0-18 and live in (or are from) St Helens, this is your chance to get creative and share what life here means to you.
Whether it's your favourite places, the people who matter most, or moments that make you smile - your voice can help us understand what it's like to be you, so the people supporting you can do their best with you and for you.
How You Can Enter
Choose one of the following:
Draw or paint a picture of what St Helens means to you
✍️ Write a poem, short story, song, article, or letter about growing up here
Deadline: Monday 22 September 2025
Prizes
Winners will be announced Friday 3 October 2025:
1st place - £50 Love2Shop voucher
2nd place - £30 Love2Shop voucher
3rd place - £20 Love2Shop vouchers
Your Work Could Be
Displayed at a special celebration event for children and young people
Shared in libraries and Family Hubs
Featured in the #LoveStHelens campaign
Used to help people working in St Helens better understand and support children and young people in our borough

There are multiple ways to send your designs into us.
Email: ourchildrensstories@sthelens.gov.uk Drop off at: Your local St Helens library or Family Hub. Or you can also share your work on facebook or x, using the hashtags, #MyStHelensStory #LoveStHelens and your design will be entered into the competition.
