St Helens Archive Service is currently closed to in-person visitors due to maintenance, however please contact us to assist with your enquiry remotely.
In 2021, St Helens Archive Service was awarded Archive Service Accreditation by The National Archives. Accreditation is the UK quality standard which recognises good performance in all areas of the delivery of archive service. Achieving accredited status shows that St Helens Archive Service meets national standards relating to the management, long-term preservation and accessibility of its unique collections to a wide range of users.
National Lottery Heritage Fund Projects
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, St Helens Archive Service will be leading on an exciting two-year project, 'Creative Underground', which will explore the history of creative industries across the region, launching during St Helens Borough of Culture, 2023.
