Protect your family from measles amid new outbreaks
Amid a rise in measles cases across England, and outbreaks in the West Midlands, Birmingham and London, St Helens Borough Council is encouraging residents to take up the MMR vaccination if they haven't already.
New Family Hub opens in St Helens town centre
Public health, children's social care and other partners came together this week for the official opening of St Helens Borough's second Family Hub which offers a broad range of services under one roof.
Planning permission granted for 514 new homes on St Helens Local Plan allocated site
In line with St Helens Borough Council's adopted Local Plan (A Balanced Plan For A Better Future) to address the borough's housing need to 2037, planning permission has been granted for more than 500 new homes in Bold and Lea Green, 155 of which are classified as affordable.
Changes to St Helens Library Service to come into effect from 26 January 2024
Following approval of the St Helens Library Strategy for 2023-2028 to transform and modernise the service in the wake of government cuts, four libraries will no longer be maintained by the local authority from Friday 26 January.
