Crisis and Resilience Fund
The government has announced new funding to support people who are in financial crisis. This funding will replace the current Household Support Fund, which will end on 31 March 2026.
The new fund, called the Crisis and Resilience Fund, is intended to help people cope with a sudden and unexpected expense or loss of income, while also helping to build longer term financial resilience. It will also include support towards housing costs to replace the existing Discretionary Housing Payment.
The fund will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029 and is funded by the UK Government. Applications for support from this fund will be available here from 1 April 2026.
