St Mary's Market (indoor retail)

There has never been a better time to set up your own business in St Mary's Indoor Market.

We are currently offering fantastic rent incentives to new businesses with unique commodities to the market.

In addition to our permanent stalls, St Mary's Market also hosts a Saturday Craft Fair in the event space beside the café.

Market information

St Mary's Indoor Market is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm (except Bank Holidays). Weekly rent prices are based on six-day trading and traders are expected to be open from 9am to 5pm.

Parking is currently available for traders at an additional cost per week. Toilet and water facilities are available on site, as well as cleansing. Electricity bills are payable each quarter in addition to rent.

To trade at St Mary's Market, you will need the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Public liability insurance certificate (minimum £5million cover)
  • National Insurance number
  • Photo ID
  • Utility bill (dated within the past three months)
  • Food hygiene rating/licence (if relevant)

Average stall prices

An average stall will cost £200 per week, with the cheapest stall starting at £32.50 per week on the incentive package.

Rent incentive period

Anyone wishing to trade with a commodity that is unique to the market will qualify for a rent incentive package as follows:

  • £50 for the first six weeks
  • Rent-free for the next six weeks
  • 25% of the rent for the following eight weeks
  • 50% rent for a further eight weeks
  • 75% rent for the next eight weeks
  • Full rent thereafter

This is on a week-to-week tenancy (with the trader to give one week's notice to terminate).

 

Saturday Craft Fair (St Mary's Indoor Market)

Our Saturday Craft Fair is a welcome addition to the full-time market and has a range of products, from bath bombs to handmade cards.

Market information

The Saturday Craft Fair runs each first and third Saturday of the month from February to October, then weekly from October to December from 9am to 3pm. Traders can arrive from 8am to begin setting up. We ask anyone wishing to attend the Craft Fair to call our markets team in advance to book your space.

On your first visit to our Craft Fair, you will be asked to complete a registration form.

Stall prices

Tables are priced at £10 for the day.

Earlestown Friday Retail Market (outdoor retail)

We welcome new traders to Earlestown Market. The market hosts a wide range of traders, from fruit and veg to fashion.

Market information

All products sold on the Friday market must be new. No car boot/flea market stock is to be sold.

First-time traders will need to turn up at 8am on their first day of trading and report to the market office.

New traders are encouraged to call the market office on 01744 677 155 before their first visit.

You will need to bring the below details with you before you can trade on the market:

  • Public liability insurance (cover of £5 million or more)
  • National Insurance number
  • Current utility bill
  • Photo ID 

Average stall prices

Pitch prices start from £10.20 per day. Stall prices are from as little as £23.40.

Earlestown Saturday Market (outdoor car boot/flea market)

Our popular car boot/flea market has returned to Earlestown Market Square each Saturday. We welcome traders offering second-hand and nearly new goods, as well as craft and collectible items.

Market information

Everyone who wishes to trade at the Saturday market must book online to secure their place as no cash payments are permitted on the day of each car boot/flea market.

If you would like more than one space, such as a double-pitch required for large vans, you should please book two or more spaces on the online system.

Anyone wishing to attend must book online before 2:30pm each Friday for the following day. Booking is available two weeks in advance.

Prohibited goods

  • All counterfeit or copied goods including CDs, DVDs and videos
  • Newspapers, magazines
  • Tobacco/E-cigs
  • Alcohol
  • Catalogue returns or seconds and damaged stock
  • Weapons of all description

For health and safety reasons, the following second-hand goods are prohibited from sale:

  • All cookers and fires (gas/electric)
  • All washing machines and fridges
  • All cosmetics and toiletries
  • All baby and children's car seats

Pitches: £16

Uncovered stalls: £19 to £20

Covered stalls: £20.00
