British values

The British values of:

Democracy

Democracy allows everyone to have their voice heard. In a democracy the people from a group or community must choose who they want to represent them and put forward their views.

We have a say in what happens in our classes.

Individual liberty

In Britain, as long as we do not break the law, we can live as we choose and have our own opinions about things.

In class, we can express our likes and dislikes. We can develop our skills and talents. We can choose how we look and how we progress.

Rule of law

The rule of law concerns the relationship between the state and its citizens, ensuring the state action is limited and responsible. All UK citizens must obey the law and are equal under it.

Our classroom rules help to make sure that everyone has a good learning experience.

Respect and tolerance for all

Respect for and tolerance of different faiths and religions and other beliefs.

In our classes, we give respect to others and we expect other people to show us respect.
